The staff, governors and children of Westwood Primary School would like to welcome you and your family to our school.
At Westwood Primary School we have a clear vision and determination to ensure all children are in receipt of high quality teaching and learning, make good progress and achieve true potential.
Westwood Primary School works in partnership with Grove Primary School. I am the Executive Headteacher of both schools and share my time between the schools. Both schools are lead by the Head of School in my absence. Additionally, there are other leadership, teaching and support staff shared roles across the two schools. Together, the schools strive for excellence, have a relentless drive for school improvement and benefit from the shared ethos and working practices.
Both schools offer a high quality education to all children. Our aim is to provide a caring, nurturing, stimulating, exciting and safe learning environment. We strongly value the importance of parents/carers and look forward to working in partnership with you.

Year 6 Year 6 had a busy day on Monday creating their toy cars! The children accurately measured and cut lengths of wood, fixed their components together and designed the body of their car to create working toy cars! The mechanism of the car worked using elastic bands as belts to propel the car forward. The children were incredibly sensible throughout this process and were excited to share their creations with their loved ones at home. Thank you to all of the grown ups who attended parents evening this week. It's been wonderful to share the progress your children have made so far this year and to celebrate their learning outcomes too. I look forward to welcoming the children back tomorrow morning for a final day at school before the Eater break. Have a lovely Easter holidays, Miss Fayers, Mrs Goodyear and Miss T
