Year 5!
Another fantastic week in Year 5!
In Literacy, we have been writing our non-chronological reports on Ancient Greece, working hard to include all elements of our success criteria including formal vocabulary, varied sentence structure, parenthesis, relative clauses and adverbials. In Maths, we have been multiplying four-digit numbers by one-digit numbers using column multiplication. In Reading, we have continued with our text, Seven Ghosts, making links between the stories and discussing the purpose and impact of the illustrations on the reader. In Science, we planned our own investigations to identify which material is best at insulating heat. We are looking forward to conducting these experiments next week. In Woodlands, we identified the characteristics of the seasons and the impact on plants, wildlife and humans. In Gymnastics, we have focused on how to safely perform different types of rolls.
We have also enjoyed a Road Safety workshop focusing on how to be a safe passenger and a Mental Health workshop focusing on wellbeing and resilience.
Have a lovely weekend everyone, see you on Monday!
