💜 Year 6 💜
Another fabulous week in Year 6!
In Literacy, we have been working hard to develop our use of relative clauses, appositives and fronted adverbials, ready to write our own stories inspired by the wonderful Little People, Big Dreams books.
In Maths, we have been completing number lines up to 10,000,000, developing our understanding of place value and large numbers.
In Reading, we have been immersed in Freeze, making links and predictions across the story and thinking carefully about what might happen next.
In Art, we have thrown ourselves into the work of Sarah Graham, exploring collage composition and mixed-media techniques through our wrapper tasks, experimenting with colour, texture and composition.
In RWV, we discussed why the Gospels are important to Christians and explored their significance within the Christian faith.
During Yoga, we have been discussing the importance of using breathing techniques to support our flow, helping us to move with greater control, focus and awareness. In Football, we have been developing our dribbling techniques and working on controlling the ball with confidence.
In PSHE, we discussed our dreams for the future and identified steps and goals we can focus on to achieve these.
Finally, a huge thank you to everyone who donated for Jeans for Genes Day. Your generosity and support are very much appreciated.
Another brilliant week of learning, creativity, collaboration and teamwork in Year 6!
