I have been involved in primary education for more than 40 years, spending the last 16 years of my career as Headteacher. I am on the board of trustees of two academy sponsors, both as a volunteer. I am committed to supporting and challenging schools in order to provide the best for all learners. I am proud to be associated with Grove Primary.
I have been Headteacher at Westwood Primary School since September 2012 and Executive Headteacher at Westwood Primary and Grove Primary since February 2018. Working in partnership with The Active Learning Trust, through careful recruitment of outstanding staff and targeted school improvement the Westwood Primary School was successfully lead out of Special Measures. Again in February 2019, Grove Primary school was successfully lead out of Serious Weaknesses. Both schools have been transformed resulting in a learning communities which are both happy and harmonious and where strong leadership ensures positive outcomes for all children and their families.

|Eve's son is new to Year 5 as they have moved home to Carlton Colville, from Nottingham recently. In Nottingham she was a co-opted Governor at his primary school since he was in Reception. She has spent 15 years employed within the mental health and criminal justice systems and have always found ways to utilise knowledge and skills gained from this, to support the school with their various projects and improvement plans. She has supported projects on mental health, SEND, safeguarding and whole school behaviour. Eve feels confident at providing supportive challenge and encouraging reflective practice. As a Governor she has supported the shcool through a number of external review processes whereby they sought to improve their function. She feels she learnt from them, a wealth of ideas for ways to assist the Senior Leadership Team, to continue to develop the school to the holistic benefit of every child in their care. Eve is keen to support and celebrate the success of the shcool as it continues it's journey|
