Michael Rosen and Reading at Home

Reading at Home

Please, please, please listen to or encourage your child to read at home!

Children who read at home regularly make better progress in reading and writing at school.

Well done to all pupils who have been reading everyday and getting lots of cubes to put in their class reading tubes, they are filling up just nicely.

The top 7 readers from each class in KS2 have already had a funded school trip for all their regular reading. They visited the

Marina Theatre to watch a performance of ‘The Children’s Bookshow’ by Michael Rosen. The children and staff had a fantastic time.

Please don’t forget when your child reads at home, record it in their reading records as this means they will be given a cube.

Remember anything counts as a read from a book, magazine, song lyrics, a transcript etc.

Happy reading everybody!
